About the organizer

MIE Events — the organiser of the Nairobi edition

Who runs the show

Megawatt Kenya is organised by MIE Events, the exhibition business of MIE Groups, which is headquartered in Dubai and has been building trade exhibitions for more than 26 years. The group works from 15 offices and its network runs to over 120,000 companies, which is where the exhibitor and buyer invitations for a show like this begin.

Megawatt is one brand across three editions — Ghana and Kenya in 2027, Morocco in 2026 — and the same team answers for all three. That is deliberate: an exhibitor taking space in Nairobi and Casablanca deals with one organisation rather than two, and a visitor who has a question about one edition gets the person who can also answer for the others.

For this edition the organiser's responsibility is straightforward and unglamorous: the venue contract at Bomas, the floorplan, the build-up schedule, the conference, the visitor campaign, and this website. Each of those has a named person behind it, listed on the contact page.

What the organiser does

Fills the halls

Buyer invitations, the trade press and the visitor campaign are handled in-house. An exhibitor is not asked to fill the audience as well as build the stand.

Runs the venue side

Stand allocation, the build-up and break-down schedule, power to the stands and freight coordination are handled by the organiser's operations team at Bomas.

Publishes the show

This site, the exhibitor list and the conference programme are maintained by the organiser as entries are confirmed, rather than left to go stale between editions.

Stays the point of contact

When the halls close the same team is still there — for space at the next edition, for a document you need afterwards, or for an introduction that began in Nairobi.

Exhibiting, sponsorship, press and visiting enquiries all arrive at the same team.
