Conference Agenda

Powering Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy for Investment and Trade Competitiveness — the Megawatt Africa conference programme

The conference

The Megawatt Africa conference runs across the three days of the show, under the theme:

“Powering Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy for Investment and Trade Competitiveness.”

It brings together utilities, regulators, independent power producers, financiers, equipment manufacturers and government to work through what it takes to build generating capacity and the grid that carries it — in Ghana and across the region.

The programme is organised around the questions the market is actually working on:

  • Generation and the mix: utility-scale solar, wind, gas and hydro, and how storage changes what is dispatchable.
  • The grid: transmission, distribution, metering and the losses that decide whether new capacity reaches customers.
  • Finance and policy: how projects are structured, banked and permitted, and what the regulatory framework rewards.
  • Industry and trade: local content, manufacturing and the supply chain that keeps equipment maintained.

Session times, tracks, halls and confirmed speakers are maintained in the programme below and updated as they are confirmed.
